Hope you guys are cruising smoothly through your midterms and last minute projects before spring break!

For a couple weeks now I have been trying to meet with Scott Quint, Dean of ISSI, in order to obtain "tentative recognition" by Northeastern University. Help me help you by sending him an email explaining to him how important the Portuguese Culture Club is to you and our Portuguese Community! We need him to write a letter of recommendation to SGA in order to official reserve meeting spaces, have weekly meetings, an official website, bank account, and the whole 9 yards.

General meetings will be Wednesdays or Thursdays @ Curry Student Center, 8 PM. Let us know if you have a schedule conflict with either of those times and we'll try our best to work with you.

The NEU Portuguese language instructor and our amazing advisor Simone Elias met with the Portuguese Consulate this week and we now have active support of the embassy and several resources will be available to the club as soon as we get it officially recognized.

We also have active participation on the 2010 Boston Portuguese Festival that starts this March! We will be working together with event organizers and the consulate to help plan and develop strategies for the upcoming festival!! It will be a great cultural experience so we're looking forward to being involved!!
